Dr. J Paul Schumann, 81, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday. Dr. Schumann graduated from the University of Mississippi and then received his Phd from the University of Oklahoma. He was an analyst for Defense Intelligence Agency for over 40 years and taught at UAH part-time as an Adjunct Professor for 21 years. Paul was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Schumann; son, Robert Reynold Schumann (Karen) of Toney; and grandchildren, Haley Elizabeth Schumann and John Robert Schumann, both of Toney.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Russ Gipson officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
