Mr. Melvin Eakin, age 73, of Scottsboro passed away on Tuesday December 4, 2018.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Don Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. till time of service.
Mr. Eakin is survived by his wife, Mary Eakin; daughter, Wendy (Jack) Hall; sons, Mark (Connie) Eakin, Chris (Christi) Eakin, and Todd (Brandy) Eakin; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Annie Ruth Shorts and Hazel Ball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Annie Mae Eakin and brothers, Raymond Eakin and Wayne Eakin.
