William  Forest  Muncher William Forrest Muncher, 81, of Empire, Alabama passed away peaceful and ready, Monday December 3, 2018 at his beloved home surrounded by his wife and children.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, December 5 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home, 5203 Hollis Goodwin Rd, Dora, Al 35062.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 6 at the Empire Church of God, 6311 Hill Rd, Empire, AL 35063.
William Forrest Muncher was born March 21, 1937 in Phillips Town, Empire, Al, 1 of 9 children to Arthur Eugene Muncher and Delphia Lilliemae (Smith) Muncher.
William Forrest was an Army veteran where he was stationed in South Korea for most of his tenure. He was a retired coal miner from the Drummond Company where he work at its Mary Lee #1 underground mine. In his life, he loved participating in or watching sports. He spent his personal time playing baseball and basketball as a youth and into his young adult years, then he loved attending baseball, basketball, and football games of his three sons.
William Forrest is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Melba Willadean (Brown) Muncher; along with three sons; David (Kem) of Jasper, Al, Richard of Gardendale, Al, and Jerry (Monica) of Jasper, Al; 6 Granddaughters, Meghan, Hannah, Hallie Grace, Salena, Caitlyn, and Carlee; 1 Grandson, Thornton; 1 Great-Grandson, Shaun Taylor; 1 brother Raymond Muncher, 1 sister Lorene Cordell; and many loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.
A special thank you to Southeast Hospice, Visiting Angels, his pastor, and his neighbors for their loving care and concern in his final days.
