MONTGOMERY-The Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has a jam-packed month of Conservation Events set for several State parks throughout the state. Some of the events on the schedule are holiday related and some will help you become aware of the wildlife through the state.
December 1-23, 2018 — Rickwood Caverns State Park
Santa’s Underground Workshop: See Rickwood Caverns decked out in holiday lights!
2 p.m. – 8 p.m.; $10 per person
December 4, 2018 — Introduction to Urban Wildlife Seminar
Learn how to attract wildlife to your backyard, become “bear aware” and solve common wildlife conflicts.

December 8, 2018 — Joe Wheeler’s Parade of Lights
Watch a parade of boats show off their holiday lights and enjoy a buffet dinner at Daniella’s in the Park.
Buffet begins at 4 p.m.; boat parade at 6 p.m.
Weekends: January 25-February 17, 2019 — Eagle Awareness at Lake Guntersville State Park
Each weekend will feature guided tours and a different line-up of presentations.
