Funeral service for Mr. Larry “Pops” Mewbourn, age 70, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted at 2 PM on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery next to his wife, JoAnn Roland Mewbourn.
Mr. Mewbourn was born on April 7, 1948 in Limestone County, AL to the late Thomas Edward and Ada Louise Nix Mewbourn. He worked as a flooring installer and served in the United States Army. Larry passed away on November 27, 2018 in Nashville, TN.
Survivors include his children, Michael Lee (Danette) Kelley of Murfreesboro, Sandy (Carrie) Kelley of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Phillip Mewbourn of Virginia; and sisters, Judy (Joe) Clark of Alabama and Carolyn (Jackie) Swinford. In addition to his wife an parents, he was preceded in death by on brother, Donnie Mewbourn.
Visitation with the family will be held at 5 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Mewbourn.
