Early Wayne “Pat” Gilmore – Obituary

Early Wayne “Pat” Gilmore of the Peaceful Valley community in Itawamba County passed away November 20, 2018. Pat was born December 20, 1948 in Amory, MS. Pat was a member and song leader at Enon Primitive Baptist Church where he also served as deacon. He was known by his family and friends in his community for his kind spirit. Pat was a member of the Mississippi Bee Keepers Association and enjoyed traveling to state and local meetings. He was widely known for his apiary skills and could literally call swarming bees down from the heavens into a bucket. In his spare time, Pat enjoyed presiding over the Peaceful Valley Shade Tree Society whose members also included his friends Bobby Blake and Steve Wardlaw.

Pat is survived by his loving wife Brenda, and three children: Mickey (Resa) Gilmore of Allen, Texas; Tracie Gilmore Neal of Amory; and Vicky (Jeff) Reeder of Fulton. His grandchildren are Payton, Cooper, Deven and Lauren Gilmore; Brody and Braden Neal; and Abby and Garrett Kaspar. He is also survived by his brother Odene Gilmore of Aberdeen. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Murrey and Effie Mae Gilmore and two sisters, Betty Reynolds and Irene Tate. He also left behind his beloved cat, BoBo.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on November 21, 2018 at Wiygul Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
