Frances Willene Denton 87, of Decatur passed away Wednesday November 21, 2018 at her residence. She was born October 24, 1931 in Alabama to Walter and Roslea James. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Decatur. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband James O. Denton, two daughters, Hannah Pearson (Lon) and Melinda Bankus (Dan); three grandchildren, Amanda Pearson, Christopher Bankus and Mathew Bankus; also several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday November 24, 2018 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with funeral service following at 11:00am at Hartselle Heritage Chapel with Brother Donnie Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Upshaw, Alabama. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorials be made to Mental Health Center of North Central Alabama 1316 Somerville Rd. Suite 1 Decatur, Alabama 35601. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
