John Douglas McIntyre – Obituary

 John Douglas McIntyre of Adamsville, TNJohn Douglas McIntyre was born December 26, 1948 in Stantonville, TN, the son of the late J. W. and Ollie Smith McIntyre. He departed this life on November 11, 2018 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 10 Months, 16 Days.

He graduated from Adamsville High School. In pass years he worked for Brown Shoe Company and Kolpak in Selmer. In 1984 he transferred to Kolpak in Parsons, TN, which is now Welbilt, and worked there until his recent illness. He was a hardworking man, enjoyed square dancing, going to flea markets, Harley Davidson, Corvettes, and loved chocolate.

He is survived by three sisters: Aletha Henley, Linda Smith both of Stantonville, TN, Carolyn Austin of Savannah, TN; a half sister, Ola Flatt of Huntsville, AL; and a host of neices, nephews, other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McIntyre was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo Smith; two half sisters, Mattie McDaniel and Marie Bugg; and a half brother, J. B. McIntyre.
