BARTON-According to Colbert County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigator Tim Vanderford on Tuesday, November 13 a Colbert County woman was killed in an industrial accident at freightCar America during the night shift.
Vanderford identifed the victim as Angel Foster, 21. Officials said emergency workers went to the plant in Cherokee a little after 9 p.m. Tuesday night. Foster was taken to Helen Keller Hospital where she died. Authorities say no foul play is suspected.
A note to the Wednesday morning day shift said the plant would be closed until future notice.
