Annie Ruth Carroll, age 85, formerly of Sheffield, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018. The family will receive friends for visitation today, November 11, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating the service will be her grandson, Steve Morris, Steve Condra, Rick Eichelberger, and Alan Lesley. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Carroll was born on February 13, 1933, in Franklin, Tennessee to the late Phillip and Annie Garner. She was a longtime resident of Sheffield, but spent her final five years in Trinity, Alabama. Mrs. Carroll was a retired nurse, and she was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles “Red” Carroll; daughter, Barbara Carroll Jackson; brother, Clyde Garner; and sons-in-law, Curtis Morris and Donnie Jackson.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Morris; grandchildren, Melissa Henson (Jack), Angie Lesley (Alan), and Steve Morris; great grandchildren, Josh Wright, Austin and Clayton Joyner, and Madelyn and Luke Lesley; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
