Doyle W. Sullivan Doyle W. Sullivan, 93, farmer and longtime resident of Lick Creek in Primm Springs Community, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wendell Ragsdale officiating. Burial will be in Oakley Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born June 25, 1925 in Williamson County, he was the son of the late Claude Sullivan and the late Eula Allen Sullivan. A veteran of World War II, he served in Japan during the years 1943 – 1946. Last year a bridge near his home was dedicated in his honor. Mr. Sullivan was a member of Shoals Branch Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Jane Gordon Sullivan of Primm Springs; children, Wade (Karen) Sullivan of Primm Springs, Dale (Leia) Sullivan of Denver, Colorado, Roger (Nancy) Sullivan of Santa Fe, Delores (Jimmy) McEwen of Columbia; Victoria (Wendell) Gordon of Lyles; grandchildren, Angela (Kevin) Hall, Steven (Kamiko) Sullivan, Jennifer (Ben) Conner, Daniel (Brianna) Sullivan, Greg (Kaitlyn) Sullivan, Bryan Sullivan, Christopher Sullivan, Brittany (Kyle) Smithson, James McEwen, Joseph Gordon, Elizabeth Gordon, Jeremiah Gordon, Eva Gordon; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great grandsons.
