James “Lacy” Luster – Obituary

James Lacy Luster James “Lacy” Luster, age 78, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away Wednesday, November 07, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 11am at Heritage Funeral Home with Tim Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in Luster Family Cemetery in Santa Fe.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-11am at the funeral home.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on August 20, 1940 in Hawkins, Tennessee, Lacy was the son of the late James Gilbert Luster and the late Emma Lou Hale Luster. He loved fast cars, semis, and old trucks and enjoyed going to car shows and truck and tractor pulls.

He is survived by his: brother: William “W.C.” Luster; sisters: Joyce Powell and Ann Waycaster; step son: Bobby Harper; grandchildren: Bobby Harper, Jr., Robert Harper, Kyle Harper, Stephanie Harper, Brandi Miller, Alexis Shaffer, Rachel Frazier, Johnny Luster, Jr., and Chyiann Adams; several great grandchildren; loving friends:  Ashley and Amy Miller, Mylo and Karen Peck; and mother of his children and best friend: Evelyn Phelps.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sons: Johnny Lewis Luster and James Lacy Luster, Jr.; daughter: Kathleen Hobson; brothers: Orlin Luster and Jerry Luster; and granddaughter: Lacy Lee Luster.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
