Jerry Wayne Hunter, 74, of Moulton passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital. Visitation will be from 12 till 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Steven Dutton and Rev. Gary Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.
A member of Wear Baptist Church, Jerry was retired from 3M after 36 years of service. Known by many as “Coach Pawpaw” he will always be remembered as a loving and devoted family man.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jo Hunter; sons, Tommy Hunter (Dawn) and Daryl Hunter (Karen); grandchildren, Jessica Marsh (Garrett), Jami Dawson (Jon), Joy Hunter, Colt Hunter, and Grace Hunter; brothers, Larry Hunter (Brenda) and Jesse Hunter (Tammy); sister, Sheila Moffet; sister-in-law, Marie Ashley; brother-in-law, Sanford Norton, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Ruthie Hunter; brothers, Johnny Hunter and Roger Hunter.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Hunter, Daryl Hunter, Colt Hunter, Jon Dawson, Garrett Marsh, and Deny Ashley.
