Athens Police Arrest Man In Theft Of Lawn Equipment From Athens State University

ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson issued a statement on Tuesday, November 6 concerning the arrest of a suspect wanted in the theft of lawn equipment from Athens State University on Wednesday, October 31:

“On October 31, 2018 Athens State University reported the theft of a Ferris lawn mower and a Dewalt pressure washer that occurred the night before. The theft was from inside the back area of the gym. The value of the property taken was $6770.00.

University security was able to provide investigators with a video of the theft and a possible suspect. Yesterday investigators Jarrod Smith and Jonathan Caldwell located the mower in Florence.

Investigators also located a suspect in this case and transported him to the police department. After the interview Robin Eric Rosenblum was arrested for burglary third degree. He was booked at the police department and later transferred to the county jail. Investigators also recovered the pressure washer in Muscle Shoals.”
