Funeral service for Betty Jean Bailey Morgan, 80, will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kerry Cleghorn and Rev. Dean Estes officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
She was born Saturday, March 5, 1938. Betty Jean Bailey Morgan completed her journey on earth at her residence in Cullman with her husband of 63 years by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph Aubrey and Mary Frances Ramey Bailey, a son: Jerry Charles Morgan and a sister: Mildred Story.
She graduated from both the University of Alabama and Athens State University. She was a teacher in Madison and Cullman Counties, as well as being a teacher and director of WMU in Morgan County, where she taught English as a second language to foreign business associates. She was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church in Cullman.

Pallbearers will be Jimmie Halbrooks, Tommy Halbrooks, Pat Halbrooks, Ronnie Eubanks, Josh Hogeland, Josh Morgan, Matt Hill and Joe Sinclair.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the New Center Cemetery Committee @ 587 Church Road in Hartselle, AL 35640.
