The mission of this campaign is to raise awareness about Women’s Cancers and encourage our local community to be proactive about their health. The months of September and October highlight two of the highest risk cancers among women. Ovarian and Breast Cancer.  Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed and the second leading cause of cancer death. Ovarian ranks fifth in cancer death among women, accounting for more deaths that any other cancer of the female reproductive system.

We are pleased to share our Ambassadors for Singing River Social.  Cassandra Seal Director of Breast Health at Helen Keller Hospital, Michelle Cantrell, Ebani Barnett, Tosha Frith, Greg Woodall, Dr. Thomas Johnson of Clearview Cancer Center and Dr. Stanley Clark of Alliance Cancer Care. These ambassadors have helped raise awareness and community education about Women’s specific cancers.  They have all worked diligently to help raise much needed funds for our local road to recovery program.  We look forward to helping more patients have their transportation needs met, so they can receive the lifesaving treatment they need.

Please join us November 17th at 6:00p.m. as we celebrate Hope at our inaugural Singing River Social!  Tickets can be purchased at gala.acsevents.org/shoalsal.  For questions please email Anna Duncan at anna.duncan@cancer.org.
