Ronald “Rump” Dale Berryhill, age 67, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018. His visitation will be Wednesday, November 7th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Thursday, November 8th in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with Reverend Donald Davis and Reverend Hollis Retherford officiating. Burial will be in Guy Cemetery.
Ronald was a native of Tuscumbia and a graduate of Deshler High School Year 1969. He was a U.S. Army veteran and an avid University of Alabama and Deshler Football fan. Ronald was a member of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles “Bear Cat” and Swanie Berryhill.
He is survived by his sister, Janice Kaye Harbin; brother, Bobby (Rosemary) Berryhill; two nieces, Angie (Ronnie) Renfro and Alison (Rodney) Porter; nephew, Tyler H. Berryhill; two great-nieces, Bailey Porter and Morgan Renfro; uncle, Howard ( Georgia) Loggins; and best friend, Janice Carters; and grandchildren, Jason and Adrain Biffle, who he loved as his own.
Pallbearers will be Ron Lack, Tyler Berryhill, Rodney Porter, Ronnie Renfro, Bobby Archer, and Brad Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Vance Irons, Larry Miller, and Howard Lee Davis.
