School Closings And Delays Across North Alabama Due To Threat Of Severe Weather

TENNESSEE VALLEY-Due to the threat of severe weather in the area due to arrive early Tuesday morning area schools are closing or will be delayed on Tuesday, November 6:

Albertville City Schools – 2-hour delay – All employees should report at 8:00 unless otherwise directed

Arab City Schools – delayed 2 hours

Athens Bible School – delayed 2 hours

Athens City Schools – 2-hour delay

Athens State University- delayed 2 hours; will open at 10:00 a.m.

Arab City Schools – 2-hour delay

  • Big Cove Christian Academy – 2-hour delay

Boaz City Schools – 2-hour delay

Calhoun Community College – College will open at 9:30 a.m.

County Day School – Opens at 10AM.

Cullman County Schools – 2-hour delay

Cullman City Schools – 2-hour delay

DeKalb County Schools – 2-hour delay

Etowah County Schools – delayed 2 hours

Fort Payne City Schools- delayed 2 hours

Grace Lutheran School and Child Development Center- delayed 2 hours

Guntersville City Schools – CLOSED (The school day was originally scheduled to be a half day) – Staff report at 10:00 a.m.

Huntsville City Schools – 2-hour delay (The two-hour delay will also apply to all HCS employees, unless otherwise directed by your supervisor.)

Jackson County Schools – 2-hour delay

J.F. Drake Community College – opens at 9:30 AM.

Lawrence County Schools – 2-hour delay

Limestone County Schools – 2-hour delay

Lincoln Academy – delayed 2 hours

Madison Academy – 2-hour delay

Madison City Schools – 2-hour delay

Madison County Schools – 2-hour delay

Marshall County Schools – 3-hour delay

Morgan County Schools – 2-hour delay

Northeast Alabama Community College – Will open at 9:30 a.m.

Randolph School – Will begin at 9:20 a.m.

St. John Paul II – 2-hour delay (Classes to begin at 9:50 a.m.)

Valley Fellowship Christian Academy – delayed 2 hours

Wallace State Community College – classes will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Westminster Christian – 2-hour delay
