Athens Police Arrest Suspect In Theft Of Auto

ATHENS-Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson reports the arrest of a suspect on Saturday, November 3 who has been charged with theft of property 1st degree:

“On Friday afternoon the police department received a call about a stolen Hyundai Santa Fe Sport from Athens Rehab on West Market Street. The owner of the vehicle told officers the vehicle was unlocked and the keys were in the car. On Saturday the vehicle was located at a residence on Cedar Hill Road by Ardmore Police Officer Jeremy Beavers.

 Saturday afternoon Investigator Kelly Fussell arrested Laura Renee Hines for theft of property first degree for taking the vehicle. Hines was booked at the police department and transferred to the county jail.”
