Dwight A. Griffin – Obituary

Dwight A. Griffin, 64 of Rogersville, AL passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018.  He was a native of Lauderdale Co., a graduate of Lexington High School and was of the Baptist faith.  He was a man that truly dedicated his life to the Lord. After many years of service he retired from Norfolk/Southern Railroad, Lauderdale County Solid Waste Department and running the Lauderdale County campground at Wheeler Dam where all of his campers loved seeing him every summer. A few of his loves was to watch the Atlanta Braves and the Alabama Crimson Tide.  He also loved every minute of spending time with his grandson whether it be fishing or playing ball.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Leon Griffin and Annie Ruth Griffin; brother, Michael Griffin and sister, Debbie Gilchrist.

Survivors include his sons, Steve Griffin of Rogersville and Chris Griffin (Dawn) of Killen; brother, Robert Griffin; sisters, Becky Gautney (Larry) and Patricia Sides (Joe Abbott); grandson, Cash Griffin; ex-wife; Brenda White (Gary); long time best friend, Terry Woods; special friend, Deborah McKennon and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Diane McCutheon, Dr. A. Lynn Ridgeway and Kindred Hospice.
