Coach Bill Morgan Coach Bill Morgan, 82 of Arab, passed away Sunday November 4, 2018 at Marshall Medical Center North. Coach Morgan was born September 30, 1936 in Kimberly Alabama to Frank Morgan and Ruby Alma Handley Morgan. He served in the U.S. Air Force; was a Coach and Teacher in the Arab City School System from 1966 until he retired in 1993. He was married to the former Patsy Ayers for 58 years. Coach Morgan enjoyed his career coaching and teaching at Arab High School and continued supporting Arab Athletics after his retirement. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Coach Morgan was a member of Arab Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife: Pat Morgan, his sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff Morgan and Dawn and Dr. Keith”Bo” Morgan and Kathy; his brother: Charles Morgan; his sister Jackie Morgan and his grandchildren: Will Morgan and Erin, Alex Morgan, Val Morgan, Ben Morgan and Saran Kenton Morgan.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday November 6, 2018 at Arab Church of Christ with Brother Ken Tyler, Jeff Morgan, Dr. Bo Morgan and Will Morgan, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday November 6, 2018 at Arab Church of Christ prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Marshall Medical Center North Foundation.
