Letha Sanderson, age 89, of Muscle Shoals, died Saturday, November 3, 2018. Her family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 6, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Jeremy Sanderson, a grandson, will officiate. Interment will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanderson, a Colbert County native, was born on May 16, 1929, to the late Thomas and Hazle Kimbrough Pounders. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sanderson was also predeceased by her husband, Odell Sanderson, and brothers, Raymond and Harden Ray Pounders.
Survivors include her children, Jim Sanderson, Thomas Sanderson (Kathy), and Brenda Laster; brother, Dennis Pounders; grandchildren, Bobby Dion Tyra, Russell Sanderson, Carl Sanderson, Kelly Sanderson, Kerry “Twig” Sanderson, and Jeremy Sanderson; two step-grandchildren, Nathan Allen and Andy Allen; and eleven great grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
