Natchez Trace Parkway Read with a Ranger Program: “Animals in Winter”

Image result for “Animals in Winter” TUPELO, MS – The Natchez Trace Parkway invites children and their families to come enjoy the Read with a Ranger program at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the Parkway Visitor Center. This month’s featured story is “Animals in Winter.” Learn several different strategies that animals have to survive winter; some hibernate, some store food, and some have to dig through the snow to find nuts and grass.  After the story, find out what you can do to help make it easier for wild animals to survive the harsh winter.

Read with a Ranger is a 45-minute program that is most appropriate for ages six and under, but all ages are welcome.  Participants will listen to a story, join in a fun activity, and go on an optional and easy half-mile hike.  Read with a Ranger features a new story on the second Saturday of the month.
