Iris (Canary) Smith Nedoba, 87 years of age, died Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana with her family by her side. Iris was born December 22, 1930 in Shoals, Indiana to the late Cecil George and Rachel Eva (Stewart) Canary and was retired after 25 plus years as a bank officer with Murray Federal Bank in Columbia, Tennessee. She was the widow of two husbands, Edgar Smith and George Nedoba, a member of Central Christian Church in Columbia, Tennessee, and the American Legion Auxillary in New Albany, Indiana. Iris was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and three brothers, James, George, and Jeffrey Canary.
Survivors include two sisters, Norman Scott (Roy) and Patricia Coffman (Paul); and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm Thursday, October 25, 2018, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be conducted at 6:00 pm Thursday evening in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel. Burial will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018, in Polk Memorial Gardens on U.S. Highway 43 in Columbia, Tennessee.
