Dexter Liner – Obituary

 Mr. Dexter Liner was born January 10, 1957 to the late Mrs. Dorothy Perkins Liner and Mr. John B. Liner of Florence, AL. He departed this life, Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

Dexter confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Springhill M.B. Church. He attended Waterloo High School and played football. He was an all-around active person, full of spirit. He is loved by so many; with a welcoming personality, he never met a stranger. He loved his family, friends, music and sports! A devoted friend, everyone who knew Dexter he considered them just that, friends! He was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. Dorothy and Mr. John B. Liner and one brother, Mr. John I. Liner.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two sisters: Mrs. Josephine Vaughn, Mrs. Lizzie (John) Smith; one brother: Mr. George (Pam) Liner; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Anna Liner, Miss Camilia Smith; one brother-in-law: Mr. Jimmy Smith; three aunts: Miss Juanita Perkins, Miss Lucinda Perkins and Miss Yvonne Perkins, all of Florence, AL; two uncles: Mr. William Perkins of Sheffield, AL and Mr. James Perkins; cousin: Mr. Will Liner; dear friend: Miss Gwen Lening, all of Florence, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Liner will be:
12:00pm – Saturday, October 27, 2018 at
Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, Florence, AL
Rev. Ronald Rutland, officiating
Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church at 11:00am.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 26, 6-8:00pm, Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Florence, AL.
The public viewing will be Friday, 12 – 8:00pm.
