Julia Moody Coker – Obituary

Julia Moody Coker, 88, passed away Friday ,October 19, 2018, at The Meadows in Fulton, MS.  She was born in Guntown, MS to Olen and Cora Moody. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Belmont, MS for 74 years.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 21, 2 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, Belmont, MS with Bro. James Segars and Bro. Glenn Bridgmon officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements. She is survived by 2- Daughters- Brenda Daniel of Red Bay, Al. and Anita Childers (Keith) of Florence, Al. 5- Grandchildren-Barry Daniel (Niki), Amanda Ridge, Brad Childers, Kirk Childers (Katie), Katy Magee (Kevin). 9- Great Grandchildren- Carson and Carter Daniel, Dalton and Dixie Ridge, Lucy Mae Brooks, Thomas Childers, Kaleb Christman, Charlie and Jack Magee.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years- L.C. Coker, her parents Olen and Cora Moody, her in- laws Homer and Luna Coker,  Brothers- E.R. Moody Sr. (Jewel), Raymond and Ruie Moody, and a son-in-law- Terry Daniel .

Pallbearers will be Keith Childers, Brad Childers, Kirk Childers, Barry Daniel, Kevin Magee, Carson Daniel, Carter Daniel, Kaleb Christman, Dalton Ridge .

Visitation will be Sunday, October 21, 1-2 at New Bethel Baptist Church, Belmont, MS.

Mrs. Cokers favorite verse was “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in the truth” 3 John 1:4
