Bobby L. Bedingfield Bobby L. Bedingfield, Sr., a man of faith who filled his life with God, church, family and friends passed on Friday, October 19, 2018. He was a graduate of Lauderdale County High School, attended Auburn University, served in the United States Air Force and was a graduate of University of North Alabama. Bobby was a member of Killen Church of Christ and attended Cedar Grove Church of Christ.
Mr. Bedingfield was a loyal dedicated worker with Ford Motor Company for 28 years in both Muscle Shoals and Atlanta. Along with fishing and Auburn football, Bobby’s chief hobby was nurturing his many friendships. He could always be counted on to provide any kind of support that was needed.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 21st, 2018 from 1 – 3 p.m. at Killen Church of Christ. Funeral service will follow with Stan Dean and Randy Baker officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Dean, Jerry Haney, Travis Rushing, Wendell Hathorn, Brady Bedingfield, Hamilton Bedingfield; honorary pallbearers will be Joe Carden, Ben Tamburello, Harold Hamilton, Tommy Parker, Ronnie Owens, Joey McMillen, Jerry Page and David Page.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Brady & Cazelle Bedingfield; brother, Jack Bedingfield; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Hamilton, Edward Hamilton and Bill Page; sister-in-law, Imogene Page.
As a credit to his life, he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Julia Hamilton Bedingfield; sons, Bobby (Cathy) Bedingfield, Jr. and Lee (Michele) Bedingfield; grandchildren who represented his greatest pride, Casey (Joey) McMillen, Brady Bedingfield and friend, Kellley, Cole (Megan) Patterson, Connor Patterson, Kyla Bedingfield, Hamilton Bedingfield and Katy Beth Bedingfield; great-grandchildren who added great joy, Houston, Jaxton, Knox, Nolan and Coen; brother, Barry (Carol) Bedingfield; sisters-in-law, Patsy Bedingfield, Lella Mae Hamilton and Ann Hamilton; uncle, Hubert Bedingfield; aunts, Dorothy Jean Newton and Geneva Green; mother of Casey & Brady, Carla; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
