Marvin Deloyne  “Big Mac” McCartneyMarvin Deloyne “Big Mac” McCartney, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in Milan, TN. He was born September 30, 1953 in North Little Rock, AR to Marvin and Marjorie Crowder McCartney. He enjoyed a vigorous childhood growing up with three brothers.
Known to most as “Big Mac” and was a kind-hearted man who loved his family. He was family man who enjoyed nothing greater than family cookouts and spending time with them. He was an avid reader and had a numerous book collection, loved going to yard sales and auctions, and collected numerous odds and ends. Additionally, “Mac” loved music and grilling, and never met a stranger coinciding with nothing more than a good conversation.
He was retired as a Project Manager for Pinnacle Foods and He was a faithful attendee of New Life Church of Jackson, TN.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Nancy (Willis) McCartney, one daughter, Amber Dominguez (Danny), one son, Derrick Lovejoy, two brothers, Craig McCartney (Nikki) and Myron McCartney; and six grandchildren, Ruby, Nate, Sadie, Dillon, Leah, and Hadleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Scott McCartney.
SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at Arrington Funeral Directors with Pastor Jeremy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, TN.
