Danny Eugene Balentine, 66, of Florence passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The service will be Friday, October 12th at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Hendrix Chapel Cemetery.
Danny was a native of Tyronza, Arkansas, and a lifelong resident of Florence. He was a member of Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ and a member of Muscle Shoals Coon Hunter’s Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie (Stone) Balentine and Elmer Clyde Balentine; brother, Joe Balentine of Savannah, Tennessee; and sister, Evadean Wood, Florence.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Linda Kay Eaton Balentine; sons, Tony Clyde Balentine (Ginger), Timmy Eugene Balentine (Angela); brothers, Clifford Balentine (Irene) Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Charlene Pope, Martha Pitts, Mildred McKinnish, Juanita Vinson, France Wood and Pam Currotto (Bob), Lexington; and grandchildren, Devin Balentine, Chad Balentine, Bethany Balentine, Whitney Balentine and Adrionna Balentine.
Pallbearers will be Devin Balentine, Chad Balentine, Greg Wood, Chandler Cole, David South, Tyler Mansell, Danny Mansell, and McGuire Odem.
