F.10.11.18 Roxie Faulkner.jpgRoxie Elzora “Ora” Faulkner, 91, of Florence passed away on Tuesday October 9, 2018. Visitation will be Friday, October 12th from 10 to 11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Joe Riddle officiating. The burial will be in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

Ora was a native of Hardin County, Tennessee but resided in Florence, for most of her life. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and was a retired cafeteria worker at Central High School. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Joe and Fronie Faulkner; sisters, Gertrude Faulkner, Marie Dodd, Kate Simmons and Winnie Balentine; brother, James “R.D.” Faulkner.

She loved to cook, bake and work in her garden at home.

Ora is survived by her nieces and nephews, Martha Ann Strickland, Jimmie Ruth Perry, Teresa Dodd, of Savannah, Tennessee, Donnie Balentine, Glennis Simmons and Jerry Simmons of Florence.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

The family expresses a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Glenwood Nursing home and the staff of Compassus Hospice for their love and care for aunt Ora.
