Michael Charles Ables – Obituary

Michael Charles Ables, 67, passed away early Tuesday morning on October 9, 2018, at NMMC in Iuka, MS.  He was born in Dennis, MS to the late Audie and Audrey Kennedy Ables on May 6, 1951.  Michael spent his life except for one year living in the family home located on Sorghum Mill Hill.  He never met a stranger and had a love for family, neighbors and anyone that crossed his path.  His lifelong disability never took away from his excitement and happiness.  He attended Providence Primitive Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 11, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Elder Cecil Woodruff officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens.  Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his sister and caregiver-Judy Ables Riddle (Danny); his brother-Jasper Ables (Linda); special caregivers-Carolyn Kaye, Teresa Duke and Dr. Sam Newell; nieces and nephews-Regina Bates (Roy Sr.), Rebecca Styles (Todd), Joseph Ables (Debbie), Lucretia Blakney, Cynthia Shewbart, and Jason Ashley (Myshae); great nieces and nephews-Roy Jr. (Cera), Amanda (Brad), Zachary (Jessica), Taylor (Andrew), Bradley, Dalton, Wesley, Holden, Cassie, Maedyn, John, Alanda, Sara and Atley; two aunts-Linda Kennedy and Nell Abel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law-Linda and Wayne Ashley; one niece-Loretta Ables and two wonderful loving friends-Frank Brosious and Peggy Meyers.

Pallbearers will be Harold Wayne Turner, Garry Milligan, Ronnie Eaton Sr., Joseph Ables, Zachary Miller and Bradley Shewbart.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 11-2 at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
