Mr. William Eason Ballard, 78, died Saturday, October 6, 2018 at North MS Medical Center. He was born January 24, 1940 in Lee County, MS to James Nash Ballard and Dovie Louise Taylor Ballard. He loved his country and served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in retail as a manager and also as Lee County Coroner during the late 1970’s. He was of the Baptist faith.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be at 6 PM, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. Private burial will be at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 PM to service time only.
Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Johnson of Tupelo; three sons, Jeffrey Ballard of Mooreville, Brian Ballard of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jason Ballard of Naples, FL; one sister, Joan Bennett of Nettleton; five grandchildren, Kristi Ray, Kayla Ballard, Carleigh Ballard, Andrew Ballard, and Brian Ballard; three great-grandchildren, Amber Ray, Chelsey Ray, and Jake Estes. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James N. Ballard, Jr.
