Mitchell Glenn Holland – Obituary

Mitchell Glenn Holland, age 64 of Lexington died on October 1st, 2018, at ECM Hospital. He was a native of Lauderdale county and a 1972 graduate of Coffee High School and worked for the Florence Utility Dept. He also was a member of the Lexington Fire and Rescue for many years and served as chief for a while.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel.  The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mitch is survived by wife of 38 years Janice Holland, son Andy Holland (Alishia) and granddaughter Aubrey of Rogersville, AL, daughter Jennifer Kellum (James) of Killen, AL, and mother Pearl Holland and brother Steve Holland of Florence, AL, sister-in-law Paula Michael, nephews Wes Holland, Paul Michael, Lee Michael (Whitney), Niece Marisa Holland, and several great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Eugene Holland of Florence, AL. Pallbearers will be Wayne Allen, Johnny Corum, Wes Holland, Skyler Webb, Bee Patrick, Barry Lenz, Neal Harvey, Keith Springer and Joe Murphy.

Honorary pallbearers the “Big Group” at Blackberry Golf trail, Lexington Volunteer Fire Department, and the Florence Electricity Department.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Felix Morris, Dr. Danny McFall and the staff at ECM Hospital.
