Marian P. CoatsMarian P. Coats 90 of Killen Alabama passed away Monday October 1, 2018 at her daughter’s home. She was born July 8, 1928 in Marengo County. She is preceded in death by her parents Kettie and William Pharr, husbands William “Bill” Colee and James Howard Coats. 3 brothers Raymond Pharr, Thomas Ervin Pharr, Ronald Pharr, and 2 sisters Madalyn Glass and Louise Glass.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Hammons and husband Jerry, sons Michael Colee and wife Nancy and Greg Colee and wife Sonya. sisters Dean Etheredge and husband Gene, Jean Schroeder and husband Don. Six grandchildren Wendy Gordon, Jamie Hammons, April Vest, Andrew Colee, Brent Colee, Jessica Poff. Fifteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Coats was a member of Killen Church of Christ, and a retiree from Prestolite in Decatur. She was a loving mother and devoted her life to her family. Above all she loved her God and now she can see him face to face and live eternally with him.

Mrs. Coats will have a visitation on Friday October 5, 2018 from 12:30 until 2:00 with a service to follow the visitation at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home at 711 Memorial Drive Decatur Alabama 35601. Brother Stan Dean and Brent Colee will be officiating and burial will be at Burningtree Cemetery where her grandsons and nephews will be pallbearers.

The family would like to thank the staff and members of Hospice of Limestone County and in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
