F.9.28.18 Adam Whitehead.jpgAdam Corey Whitehead, 28, of Phil Campbell, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018, at Huntsville Hospital. Adam was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and attended Pleasant Hill FCM Church. He was employed at Car Tunes in Muscle Shoals.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Hill First Congregational Methodist Church, Phil Campbell, with burial in East Franklin Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Officiating at the service will be Brother Darryl Whitehead.

Adam is survived by his parents, Suzy and Darryl Whitehead; sister, Amber Welborn; niece, Kylee Welborn and nephew, Cohl Welborn; girlfriend, Kayla Williams; grandparents, Resa and Kay Ergle; uncles Johnathan Ergle and wife, Nicole and Jason Trapp; aunts, Evette Trapp, Christy Trapp, Julia Wilson and husband, Josh, Donna Hall and Deborah Daughtery; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Justin Thornton, Stephen May, Trent Richardson, Kevin Richardson, Cody Wehunt and Kevin Johnson. Honorary bearers are Adam Hogan and Jamie Mayhall.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Terry Trapp, and Charles and Mary Whitehead.

Adam was a sweet, loving and talented man who loved life and his family and friends. He had a very giving heart.

The family would like to thank each one who has prayed, visited or helped in any way during this difficult time. A special thanks to the doctors and staff in the NICU and the staff in the NICU waiting room at Huntsville Hospital.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, will be directing.
