Dave Warren Reeder – Obituary

Dave Warren Reeder, 90, died Monday September 24, 2018, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born September 11, 1928 in Tupelo, to Wade Stanley and Mildred Lumpkin Reeder. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He graduated from Louisiana State University School of Banking. He first went to work at Bank of Tupelo, then in 1964 he moved to Fulton and became Branch Manager at Bank of Fulton, which later became Bank of Mississippi. He became President of Bank of Mississippi in Fulton and later at Tombigbee Bank and Trust Company. He worked five years at MDOT as personnel director before retirement. He as a member of the Fulton United Methodist Church. He enjoyed going to Pickwick in his earlier days, yard work, and drinking coffee with his friends.

Services will be at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, September 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Rev. Phillip Box officiating. Bro. Jackie Gray will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bonnie Reeder; three sons, Glen Reeder (Robbin), Jeff Reeder (Vicky), and C.W. Reeder, all of Fulton; five grandchildren, Brittni Blake (Levi), Carli Minga (Collin), Abby Kaspar, Garrett Kaspar, and Nick Reeder; one great grandchild, Cheyenne Blake.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wade Stanley Reeder, Jr., and George Lumpkin Reeder; one sister, Betty Jane Reeder; and his parents.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Sewell, Terry Sewell, Darryl Sappington, Dean Johnson, Collin Minga, Levi Blake, Kim Barnes, Larry Pate, and San Weatherford.

Visitation will be from Noon until service time Thursday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
