 Arline Dorothy (Ahnemann) Hemp, 79, wife of James “Ronnie” Rondal Hemp, Sr., died Sunday, September Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehab.

She was born on March 28, 1939 in Flushing, New York to the late Fredrick and Matilda (Vogel) Ahnemann.

Mrs. Hemp was retired from the Augusta Correctional Center as a secretary of food services.  She was a die-hard Redskin fan, loved craft shows and kitty cats.

In addition to her husband of 26 years, surviving family members include two children, Mitchell George Robison and Virginia Beth Robison; five step-children, Audra Lynne McCray, James Rondal Hemp, Jr., April Lynne Welsh, David Matthew Hemp, and Betty Gaynelle Hemp; 4 grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a step grandson, Cody Miller.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 at St. Johns Reformed Church Cemetery by the Rev. Clayton Payne.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Chapel.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Henry Funeral Home.
