FLORENCE- On Thursday, September 20, St. Joseph Regional Catholic School celebrated 140 years of educational excellence in the Shoals!  To celebrate their anniversary, the school has undergone several renovations and updates to its campus, including a new roof and eco-friendly windows and lighting.  The Shoals Chamber helped with the celebration by hosting a Chamber Ribbon Cutting for the event.

Along with the  Florence Bicentennial St. Joseph Regional Catholic School held the anniversary celebration of 140 years with a school program and an open house.

St. Joseph School’s Story:

“Empowering students with moral and academic excellence has been a St. Joseph School tradition since 1878. St. Joseph School currently serves grades 3K through eighth grade. Even though St. Joseph School and the surrounding area have encountered many transformations over the past century, the school’s reputation for academic excellence and spiritual growth has continued to flourish and transcend as generations of its graduates have worked to serve the church and its surrounding communities.
