Kathy Jane Cartee Gillespie passed on Wednesday, September 19, at her home in Decatur. She was born August 8, 1949 to Virgle and Jessie Cartee. She was a retired bookkeeper at NHC.
Funeral service for Kathy will be Saturday September 22, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with visitation starting at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Shane Williams and Greg Standridge. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family.
Survivors are children, Brian Gillespie (Beth), Greg Gillespie (Sonya) and Karen Harville; grandchildren are Erika Gillespie Lowery, Kelsie Gillespie, Katie Gillespie, Courtney Gillespie, Brianna Woolstrum, Haley Harville, Preston Harville and Lisa Marie Johnson; and sister, Janet Downey (Roy). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert, Larry and Danny Cartee.
