Harriet Mae Sacks – Obituary

Harriet Mae Sacks, 83, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday.  Mrs. Sacks worked as an administrative assistant for the US Army Missile Command for approximately 30 years until her retirement.  She then volunteered for the Huntsville Conservative Synagogue, where she served in the Women’s Club along with many others.  For many years, she served as an active volunteer in numerous organizations including the Food Bank, Crestwood Hospital, Interfaith Mission Service and First Stop.  She was also a longtime supporter of the Jewish Federation of Huntsville.

Mrs. Sacks was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Herman Sacks; son, Randy Sacks; and parents, Joe and Goldie Brown.

Survivors include sons, Gordon Sacks of Auburn, AL and Alan Sacks (Susan) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Eli, Ethan (their mother, Aimee), Jacob, Sarah, Nicole and Harrison.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21st, at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dr. William Goldberg officiating.
