UNA School Of Arts Celebrate New Location With Shoals Chamber Ribbon Cutting

FLORENCE-UNA School of Arts held a ribbon cutting on Friday, September 14 to celebrate the opening of their new location at 128 W. Tombigbee in Florence.

Friends, family, professors and students were on hand along with the Shoals Chamber to celebrate the grand opening with a tour of the new location and a good old-fashioned ribbon cutting.  Their new location will offer easier access for ticket purchases and information on upcoming events, as well as a public gallery.

A word of welcome to UNa School of art from the Shoals Chamber:

“Congratulations to the University of North Alabama School of the Arts for opening a new location and gallery in downtown Florence! Located at 128 W. Tombigbee Street and adjacent to the Mane Room. We are so proud to have UNA within the fabrics of our community. Roar Lions!”

Now a little information about UNA School of Art:

“UNA School of the Arts (SOTA), offers degree concentrations from the Department of Visual Arts and Design, Department of Music, and the Theatre Program.

SOTA provides a valuable arts education to students as they work to reach their personal goals. The school encourages a diverse, collaborative environment fostering inclusion and is committed to promoting a greater artistic community.  

The University of North Alabama School of the Arts is comprised of the Departments of Art and Music and the Theatre Program. The school promotes the artistic vision and collaboration of its faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Housed in the College of Arts of Sciences, the School of Arts holds as its main mission the fostering of artistic creativity, education, performance, and research.
