Aida Ruiz Faw – Obituary

Aida Ruiz Faw, age 58 of Madison passed away Sept. 6. 2018.

Mrs. Faw was born in Aguadilla, Puerto, Rico.  She married James Faw on May 28, 1977, and moved to Madison, AL, in Sept. of 2000.  Over the years she has made many friends from church, YMCA, schools for James and Kristina and neighbors.

She was diagnosed with ALS in 2017.  She was a fighter and fought everyday against this disease.  Sadly, she passed away.

Mrs. Faw is survived by her husband James E. Faw; daughter Kristina and her husband Edward Brooks Gentle III; son James Michael Faw; grandchildren Michel Brooks Gentle and William Emery Gentle; sister Janet Ruiz Roman; son-in-law Iran Vega Caban; numerous nieces and nephews and hundreds of dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister.

Visitation is Thurs.  Sept. 13, 2018, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by the Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ALS Association under the team name “Aida’s Army”.
