FLORENCE-The Florence Indian Mound Museum will celebrate local Native American history on Sunday, Sept. 30, with archery demonstrations, stories, a ceremony on the mound, an archaeological presentation and other programming.

This final event will honor our city’s Native American heritage.” Admission to the museum and activities is free that day, Murphy added. The Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area is a sponsor of the event.

The schedule begins at 11 a.m. with a ceremony on the mound led by local educator Adriana Peeples. Other activities include
