Harry Bennett Herston, 79, Russellville, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 at ECM Hospital.

Harry was a Veteran of the Korean War. He drove for Pet Milk Company, worked at Mullins Ford, and owned Russellville Auto Sales.

The visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Russellville. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Richard Parker officiating.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlotte Wood Herston; daughter, Lisa Herston Willingham (husband, Keith); step-daughter, Melissa Wood Sugg (husband, Joe); step-son, James Hal Wood; grandchildren, Brad Willingham (wife, Katie), Abbie Willingham, Ben Sugg (wife, Amber), Betsy Gardner (husband, Rick), Adam Wood (wife, Stacy), Carrie Wood, Tracy Franklin (husband, Lee), James Wood; great-grandchildren, Cooper Wood, Cody Wood, Baker Franklin; and a host of nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margie Mitchell Herston; son, William Andrew “Andy” Herston, step-son, Mike Wood; parents, William & Thenia Herston; brothers, Gay, Leon, Henry, and George Herston; sister, Thenia Gustin.

The honorary pallbearers will be Brad Willingham, Adam Wood, Ben Sugg, Rick Gardner, Roland Herston, Donnie Herston, Reggie Herston, and Danny Herston.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the 3rd Floor Palliative Care nurses and staff of ECM Hospital and Dr. Webb for the love and care shown towards our family.
