Lloyd Wilson “Slim” Rickard, 97, Youngstown, Ohio (formerly of Russellville, AL), passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Sunrise Assisted Living.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Core during World War II.
The visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating at the service will be Bro. George Hutto. Burial will be at Belgreen Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Steve Rickard (wife, Jackie) of Youngstown, OH; brother, Kenneth Rickard; sister, Pauline Pounders; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Rickard; parents, Philo & Jessie Rickard; sisters, Madeline Hester, Evelyn Wingo; brother, Lindbergh Rickard..
The pallbearers will be Jeffrey Rickard, Danny Wingo, Roger Hester, Gary Hester, Stanley Pounders, and Kenny Rickard.
