James Loyce Pugh – Obituary

James Loyce Pugh, beloved father, passed away on September 9, 2018. He was born in Athens, Alabama to Loyce and Cora Pugh on July 6, 1935. He graduated from Ardmore High School in Ardmore, Alabama. He worked at Monsanto for 37 years and at First Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama. He was a member of First Baptist Church. James loved spending time with his family. He loved playing many sports and learning to fly an airplane. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all things related to science. Most of all he loved sharing his faith.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Ann Kilpatrick Pugh and his parents, Loyce Allen and Cora Moore Pugh.

He is survived by his children, Jimmy Pugh and wife Melody of Athens and Mona Cahela of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Tyler Pugh, Caitlyn and Timothy Crouch; great-grandsons, Brentley Crouch and Easton Crouch.

There will be a Graveside service for Mr. Pugh at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, AL on Saturday, September 15 at 11:00 with Bro. Larry Hicks officiating. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family.
