Edith South Young, age 86, of Florence, Ala., died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012. The visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9-10:30 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. A graveside service will follow at Hendrix Chapel Cemetery. Wayne Geans and John Richards will be officiating.
She was preceded in death by one sister; two grandsons.
She is survived by her sons, Larry, Gary and David Young; daughters, Nancy Balentine and Sue Richards; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; best friend, Esther Williams; and special friend, Sue Cauthen.
Pallbearers will be James Robert Young, Brad Young, Michael Young, Drew Richards, Stephen Lovell and Sam Aday.
Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights, is directing.
