Harold “Russ” Russell Mayfield, 80, of Haleyville, entered into rest on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Mayfield was born on September 14, 1937, in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Russ graduated from Cherokee High School, was in the United States Army for 2 years, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Haleyville. He enjoyed square dancing and loved to tell jokes.
Russ is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jeanette Mayfield; son. Todd Mayfield; daughter, Fonda Fiat; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was “Grandpa” to 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Dylan Fiat.
