Richard “Jerry” Galloway – Obituary

Richard “Jerry” Galloway, 81, of Huntsville, AL passed away Wednesday, September 5th. Jerry grew up in Birmingham, AL, the baby of nine siblings.  He attended Auburn University earning a degree in Industrial Engineering. After graduation Jerry served in the Army. Upon completion of his service he settled in Huntsville, AL where he lived for over 50 years.
Jerry dedicated over 30 years to the City of Huntsville through his work with Community Development. Many of the projects he was involved in are still benefiting the city today. Jerry loved his family, friends and Auburn football. He will be dearly missed.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Mae Galloway; daughter, Michele Soteres (Steve); grandchildren, Steven and Will; and sister, Carol Stonecipher.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 12th from 11:30-1:00 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The service will immediately follow in the chapel with the Rev. Robert Sparkman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
