Ben William Taylor Jr., age 81, of Athens, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben W. Taylor Sr. and Reba Goodin Taylor; and brothers, Michael and Wayne Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Romine Taylor; children Benjy (Bonnie) Taylor, Scarlot (Ricky) Henson, and Scott (Sherri) Taylor; grandchildren, Lance (Moriah) Taylor, Julie (Daniel) Tucker, Garrett Henson, Tara (Oscar) Munoz, Emma (Hunter) Ballard, and Anna Taylor; great-grandchildren, Maicy Taylor and Addie and Ryan Tucker; sisters, Joann Jackson Steele, Pat Butler, Betty Curnutt, Sandra Wray Adams, and Brenda Darnell.
He was a member of Carriger Church of Christ.
Services for Mr. Taylor will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Lance Taylor, Daniel Tucker, Garrett Henson, and Oscar Munoz officiating. Visitation is from 12-1:45 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
